The Panther was one of the most formidable and influential German tanks of World War II. The Ausf.D was the debut variant, rushed into service for the pivotal Battle of Kursk in July 1943. This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a highly accurate recreation of the Panther Ausf.D, based on intensive examination of the final surviving example of this variant. The model features stunningly realistic surface textures, from the cast metal gun mantlet to the rolled steel armour plates. The kit includes easy-to-use belt-type tracks, two crew figures, and three different marking options for tanks that fought in the Battle of Kursk.
