Overview
The M2A2 Bradley ODS (Operation Desert Storm) is an upgraded variant of the U.S. Army's workhorse infantry fighting vehicle, incorporating lessons learned from the 1991 Gulf War. Deployed from 1996, its many upgrades were largely electronic, including an improved navigation system, a laser rangefinder, and missile countermeasures. Externally, it is distinguished by the addition of Combat Identification Panels (CIPs) to prevent friendly fire incidents.
This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a highly accurate recreation of the M2A2 ODS Bradley. The model features accurate depictions of the turret-top laser rangefinder and other ODS-specific details. It is packed with build options, including two different 25mm gun barrels, a choice of a firing or stowed TOW missile launcher, and open or closed hatches and rear ramp. The kit is completed with two crew torso figures and three marking options for vehicles from the 2003 Iraq War.
